Volunteer

We have had an incredible response & interest in volunteers for the Warming Center.
We are going to host a 3rd Training/Update this Sunday evening at 7pm! This will be a great opportunity to witness everything first-hand as the Warming Center will likely be open due to extremely low temps.
If you have any interest in serving through this important ministry opportunity, and haven’t been able to attend our last two trainings, here is your opportunity.
The warming center is ran by a minimum of 4 (2 males/2 females) trained volunteers from our community, serving in 6 hour time slots, covering the hours of 6pm - 6am.
- While we understand that even 35 degrees is cold when you’re homeless, or without heat, our current policy is to open when the temperatures are going to be 20 degrees or colder for 48 hours or longer, or at the request of Emergency Management.
The more trained volunteers we have available moving forward will allow us to open at even warmer temps and hopefully remain open even longer stints of time.
We have had the opportunity to provide this
ministry for the last 3 years, and we have learned more and more each season we operate!
A huge shoutout to all of our volunteers, donors and Upper Room Church for keeping things going!
